What Is ACRE?

ACRE is a community solar program that’s helping qualifying Vermonters lower their monthly electric bills with steady bill credits—with no cost to apply and no cost to participate.

Enrollment is limited. Check if you qualify and apply early to secure your spot. Enrollment is open April 7 – August 31, 2026.

Who Can Apply?

To qualify, you must:

  1. Receive electricity from a participating utility: Barton, Enosburg Falls, Hardwick, Jacksonville, Johnson, Ludlow, Lyndon, Morrisville, Northfield, Orleans, Swanton
  1. Participate in one of the following benefit programs or have a household income at or below the level in the table.
  • 3SquaresVT
  • Essential Person
  • Fuel Assistance
  • Reach Up (Reach First, Reach Ahead, PSE)

If you do not participate in one of these programs, but your household income level is at or below the following level, you may still qualify.

Three Steps to Apply for ACRE:

  1. Determine if you are eligible to apply based on the above criteria.
  2. Download and complete the application form.
  3. Email the completed form along with a copy of your most recent electric bill to rebates@vppsa.com, or mail the application materials to VPPSA:
