Burlington, VT – Vermont Public Power Supply Authority (“VPPSA”) has partnered with the American Public Power Association (“APPA”) to bring valuable training to its Members and other municipal utilities in Vermont. As members of APPA, VPPSA and its Members have access to all of APPA’s myriad of educational classes offered at locations around the country. However, the travel requirements to reach these centralized locations make it difficult for small Vermont utilities to attend. To improve access, VPPSA is working with APPA to organize Vermont based accounting training. Due to the enormous interest VPPSA also partnered with Burlington Electric Department to host the classes in BED’s Spark Space meeting space. The Basic Public Utility Accounting course was held on March 19th and March 20th and the Advanced Public Utility Accounting course will be held on May 22nd and May 23rd.
